About The Job:
We are looking for an ETCP certified, experienced, versatile, skilled, detail-oriented, and team-oriented person to join our team as a Rigging Inspector / Installer.
The rigging inspector / installer is responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of rigging systems for entertainment venues, theaters, event spaces, and commercial facilities. This role ensures that rigging systems are installed safely, comply with industry standards, and meet the needs of our clients.
General Tasks:
- Install and configure rigging systems, including hoists, trusses, counterweight systems, motorized systems, and safety equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections of rigging systems to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on rigging equipment as needed.
- Document inspections, repairs, and installations with detailed reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and technical teams to ensure rigging systems meet project specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and training to clients and team members on the proper use and maintenance of rigging systems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and working conditions
- Stay up to date on industry standards, best practices, and safety protocols for rigging and fall protection.
- Represent CueBlue professionally when communicating with customers, team members, vendors, and partners.
- Travel locally, and occasionally regionally, to meet with project partners, customers, and visit project sites.
Required Qualifications:
- ETCP Certification in Rigging (Theatre or Arena) is required.
- 2+ years of related experience in a similar position – OR – 4+ years of general experience with related entertainment, commercial, or similar non-residential project supervision and installation.
- Proven experience in rigging installation, maintenance, and inspection in entertainment or commercial settings.
- Strong knowledge of rigging hardware, control systems, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI).
- Ability to interpret and create project documentation such as wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working on construction sites, large-scale entertainment events, or similar projects that require interfacing with supervisors, contractors, other trades / departments, clients, and other professional representatives.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and respect others.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to rigging and equipment installation.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on construction sites.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- A desire for continuous learning and gaining relevant certifications.
- A valid drivers license / state ID and a clear driving record with no major incidents in the last year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certifications in fall protection and aerial work platforms are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater, Engineering, or other related field -or- 4+ years of related field-oriented technical, vocational, academic, or military training
- Quick and accurate math and analytical problem-solving skills
- A personal interest in entertainment, theater, themed and immersive entertainment, architecture, music, broadcast, film, technical production, or related fields.
- Conversational proficiency in English and Spanish.
Pay + Benefits:
- $50,000 – $65,000 ( pretax )
- Health, Dental, Vision ( 20% employee / 80% CueBlue contribution for all base plans )
