About The Job:
We are looking for a versatile, skilled, detail-oriented team player to join us as a Project Installer.
General Tasks:
- Install and integrate lighting, sound, AV, rigging, and control systems, including equipment mounting and cabling.
- Assemble, position, and secure equipment such as lighting fixtures, speakers, video displays, and rigging components.
- Test and configure installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, associates, lead installers, and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate installation.
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards during installations.
- Perform on-site problem solving and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Document installation processes and provide feedback to the project team for continuous improvement.
- Represent CueBlue professionally and courteously when interacting with customers, team members, vendors, and partners.
- Travel locally, and occasionally regionally, to meet project partners, customers, and visit project sites.
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of related experience in a similar position – OR – 2+ years of general experience with related entertainment, commercial, or similar non-residential project supervision and installation.
- Ability to interpret and create project documentation, such as wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Knowledge of relevant technologies, including DMX lighting control, audio systems, AV equipment, and rigging hardware.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working on construction sites, large-scale entertainment events, or similar projects that require interfacing with supervisors, contractors, other trades / departments, clients, and other professional representatives.
- Clear, professional, and respectful communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to rigging and equipment installation.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on construction sites.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- A desire to keep learning and gaining relevant training and certifications.
- A valid drivers license / state ID and a clear driving record with no major incidents in the last year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certifications in related fields (e.g., ETCP, OSHA, CTS, Dante) are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater, Engineering, or other related field -or- 4+ years of related field-oriented technical, vocational, academic, or military training
- Strong math and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Personal interest in entertainment, theater, themed environments, architecture, music, broadcast, film, or technical production.
- Conversational proficiency in English and Spanish.
Pay + Benefits:
- $35,000 – $50,000 ( pretax )
- Health, Dental, Vision ( 20% employee / 80% CueBlue contribution for all base plans )
